The Graveyard was started by one man. In 1986 Richard rented a small patch on Langcett Road in Sheffield on it an average of 25 cars. Each car would be repainted and made ready for MOT. Each week Richard would sell around 10 cars. In 1987 Richard fell out with the owner of the land he was using and decided it was time to move on. The Graveyard was temporarily downsized and cars were sold from a lane next to his house - Piglane in Outterbridge.

1988 Saw the Graveyard move to Granville Road and then to the Railway arches in Attercliffe. The Graveyard originally occupied one arch - a massive 15 meters wide by 90+ meters long.

By 1997 the graveyard had roughly 200 cars and expanded to fill three arches with amazing examples of Triumph Engineering. When 1999 came about the individual parts for Spitfires, Dollys, Stags, Heralds and TR7's were becoming rare and each component deserved to be looked after on shelves instead of standing still in cars. The contents of three arches were skillfully dismantled and compacted into one arch.

This one arch still houses the Graveyard where all Triumph cars are offered a retirement home. As with all Graveyards some refuse to fade away peacefully and they are resurrected by fanatics, collectors and the like. The Graveyard still offers many fully working taxed and tested cars, as well as one of the most extensive original parts stores in the world!
